Greetings!
Newly made retro style dress for your vintage Cissy doll. Fashion includes dress, slip, panties, hat and purse!!! Just add shoes!
Made from a pattern I picked up off the internet many moons ago. It sports a bodice with a deep v-neck and open front open with self sleeves, and a striking wide collar.
Dress is made with vintage semi sheer nylon fabric in a lovely light robins egg blue shade with small white flocked dots. Bodice is lined with powder blue silk taffeta . The wide collar is made with white silk taffeta.. Front closure with 2 snaps accented with vintage white buttons, plus a decorative middle snap. The skirt is a generous 62” around, ~7-3/4” long with a 2” hand sewn blind hem. Slip and panties are made with the same powder blue silk taffeta as bodice lining. Slip has gathered tulle and elastic waist. Panty legs are edged with white french val lace and have an elastic waist. Note-I make panties to sit lower on waist- below slip to reduce waistline bulk. Also included is a matching hat. The hat outer shell is the dot dress fabric and lining is taffeta, bow is made with the white silk taffeta like the collar. The last accessory is a little envelope purse. It is made with white pleather that is soft. It is just made to fold over, no closure. Fits best between thumb and fingers- I put a couple pieces of organdy in it to fill it out a bit so it stays between her fingers!
Notes* Read*- when putting on dress work the sleeves up over arms slowly and gently, and adjust as you go up. The bodice is a little baggy in the inner shoulder/ bust area. . The main blue dot fabric does have a sheen to it. The envelope purse is just a fold over- no closure. It stays closed only when between Cissy’s fingers.
I think some photos may be off center-I apologize- I need to do some re-formatting. A challenge for me and my lack of tech/computer skills!
