Welcome!
Wishing everyone a Happy, Healthy and Fruitful 2025!!
Thank you for visiting Yesterday Dolls!
This page tells you a little about me and Store Info & Policies
I am a retired R.N. Now fulfilling my artistic dreams of creating doll fashions! The artist in me loves the designing and the selection of fabrics and notions. The actual sewing, well has to be done to make those visions come to fruition! I did sew quite a bit in my younger years, making children’s clothing, clothes, costumes, ect. Then career & life took over. I have collected, bought and sold dolls (mainly Mattel Barbie and family, and Madame Alexander Cissy) for the past 20 years. In the past 6 years I discovered Cissy! This brought me back to sewing again! She is the perfect fashion doll to design and sew for. Hence, with time in retirement along with the need for extra income I started creating and sewing again these past years. . I am always learning!
This is a fairly new shop, and I do lack talent in web design and computer skills! Please be patient while the pages are filled with great items! Check back often as new item will be offered frequently! When I sell here I save money, and instead of putting that money in my pocket I pass my savings on to you. I do sell occasionally on eBay. But it has become cost prohibitive. I mainly use it occasionally to expand and draw in new clients. Items will always be less in cost here in my shop vs eBay.
Here you will find fashions and accessories for your vintage Madam Alexander Cissy doll! Often these fashions will also be suitable for your vintage 20” Miss Revlon dolls and similar 20” dolls. On occasion I do offer fashions for Elise.
You will discover re-production Cissy and Elise fashions as well as some of my own designs. Plus accessories! Sometimes I shake it up and mix Cissy’s bodice, sleeve and skirt pattern for an original fashion!
Fabric for fashions is an important detail and great consideration is given to them. Whenever possible vintage mid-century fabrics are used. Below is criteria commonly used for vintage fabric. It’s an estimated manufactured date (these are loom sizes used during the era)
Dating Vintage Fabric
Pre 1930- Most selvedge width will be between 24" to 32"
1930s-1940s- Most selvedge width will be either 35" to 38"
1950s-1960- Most selvedge width will be 36” to 38" with some 42"
Post 1960- Selvedge with will be 42" or 44"
I will admit I am a bit of a fabric snob- preferring to use natural fabrics…silks- I only use silks for taffeta/dupioni/shantung, I do use acetate taffeta for linings. Pure wools and 100% cottons. I personally do not care for anything polyester except for maybe occasionally satin, I strive to find acetate satin
I will be offering fabric and lace by the yard (BTY) occasionally. Cut fabric from the bolt is not refundable. If in doubt please request a swatch, I am happy to send free in letter envelope for free.
Occasionally I can re-produce a fashion you see that I have already made, depending on how backed up I am with orders. Keep in mind vintage fabric is often limited. When you request a custom order the policy is as follows….we agree on style and fabric and price, you get an estimated completion date (I may have to order and wait for supplies), when fashion is complete I send photos to you for your approval. Once you give approval I will send a detailed PayPal invoice. I only accept PayPal for requested orders. Do send money ahead of invoice. Note, if you request a fashion that has been marked down and sold at sale price, the price of a re-creation will be done at full price not the marked down price.

Big Note on shipping- update 5/2025 please read! I live on an inland Island (Wilmington Island, GA), we do not have a regular Post Office. It is a satellite office to buy stamps and drop off packages, which in turn are picked up by (City of)Savannah USPS at some point. I have noted that 100% of the time the packages are scanned 36-48 hours after I drop them off. Sometimes Savannah does not scan at all, and are scanned at our regional USPS hub in Jacksonville, FL. Another note-USPS may state 3-5 days for delivery, most are taking 6-7 business days, and sometimes up to 9-10 days. This is beyond my control and I apologize.

Payment method is by PayPal only. . Add to your cart and check out with PayPal. (I no longer accept checks or money orders)
