Up & Coming/What I’m Working On
Friday May 29, 2026 10:00 AM EST
Finished the 1958 Salmon Taffeta repro. It is listed in shop. Since I have the shirtwaist pattern out I decided to do a cotton ‘moiré’ print dress (like in the photo). The fabric is a pink polished cotton moiré print. It is hard to see the “woodgrain” print of the moiré in the photo, but it is very pretty! I am for sure working on that this weekend. The I have a couple of vintage 1950’s fabrics pulled out-the turquoise silk and the mini dot polished cotton- have a “Librarian” creation planned for them. A silk pleated skirt and polished cotton blouse with white cuffs and collar!! Last and to the left are rose gold shades- a gorgeous, almost suede like shimmer fabric and a sequin fabric. The suede would make a lovely draping coat over a sequin dress! I still have a couple of sun dresses cut out. So we’ll see after the “moiré” dress!!
Thank you! And Thanks for checking in on Up & Coming!
I always have so many creations dancing in my head! I’m still working shorter days at this time, so not fast at getting “stuff” in shop. Stay tuned!
Have a great weekend and check back in on this page Monday to see what progress is “cookin’ “ for creations!
Check the shop page regularly for new listings as I may squeeze some in!
