Newly made dress for your vintage Cissy doll. This cute sleeveless summer dress is a concept of mine. I have made a few of these in various colors.
It is made with white silk taffeta (yes, pure silk) that is very crisp and lightweight.
Dress is shirtwaist style. It has sleeveless bodice that is lined with white swiss cotton organdy. It has open front style with a peter pan collar. Hand sewn rows of pink rosebud trim accents the front bodice and collar. Front closure with 4 square snaps. Three of them are accented with blush color pearl buttons. The skirt is about 54” around with a 2” hand sewn blind hem. Comes with a pink faux patent leather belt with gold buckle.
The full skirt does benefit from a petticoat to bring out fullness. But as mentioned fabric is crisp and shows some fullness without one. It is shown with a petticoat in all photos except last (#9), it is shown without slip. Does not come with slip/petticoat.
Note!!! This silk wrinkles easily. Irons out nicely with cool iron. Mainly just the skirt that might need it.
