Newly made fashion for your vintage Cissy doll. This dress is made with vintage cotton (width is 35” dating it 1940’s-50’s). Fabric is clean with bright colors. It’s a medium weight cotton that is actually on the stiff side.
Sleeveless bodice is a deep round neck style with thin straps. It is lined with vintage off white cotton organdy. Neckline is edged with french val lace. Several Swarovski rhinestones are scattered on front of bodice. Closes in back with 4 vintage square snaps. The skirt is a generous 58” around with a 2” hand sewn blind hem, it is about 7-3/4” in length.
I always like to show contrast of slip underneath vs. no slip. Even though this fabric is stiff, the skirt of the dress is a bit unruly and it lays better with a slip. It is shown with a slip in all photos except last #5 -it is shown without a slip. Slip is not included. For a super generous flare I also add puffed white gift tissue under the slip. (You can use the tissue I pack with- it is safe for the doll and long term storage, as I use a non-acidic food grade white baker’s tissue)
