That time of year is rolling in! My newly made Turkey fashion for Cissy to celebrate Thanksgiving holiday!
Skirt is made with a wool blend felt in a cream shade (20% wool/80% rayon). It is circle/swing style. Has a gold elastic waistband, closes in back with single square snap. A bead and sequin turkey adorns the front. The “body” sequins are iridescent and change color with light reflection (they are not a constant pink like they appear in photo). It has an elaborate (hand stitched) rhinestone leash that ends with a wrist handle for Cissy! The knit top is made from a pattern of Cissy's top. This one is made with an off white cotton knit jersey. I add a sewn in crew neck collar to my tops (vs a facing with turned over neckline). Top closes in back with 4 square vintage snaps.
I’ve shown skirt with a slip in pics except last (#6) The rhinestones and turkey can get a bit heavy, so a slip would help lift the turkey.. Slip is not included.
(I decided to make this one and one more this year. The next one will have pale yellow skirt and top. Hope to finish it this weekend.)
