Newly created for vintage Cissy Doll. This is a reproduction of Cissy’s 1956 Dancing Dress. It is made using a pattern of Cissy’s original dress. Alexander made these in unknown shades of taffeta. This one is made using a medium weight taffeta in a light pink shade. (Please note, I noticed when taking pics the flash made the pink appear a tad washed out, the color is a little more pink than photos show). This was lined with tulle originally. I lined the bodice with pink swiss cotton organdy-( it gives more stability) The skirt and sashes are lined with a pretty pink crisp bridal tulle. Two different size Swarovski rhinestones are placed on bodice and drapes (bodice is as original placement was, I think I added a few extras on sashed!). Bouquets of flowers at drape and shoulder. Closes in back with 4 square snaps, I added some accent with rhinestone buttons.
The taffeta is a medium weight with crispness. It does fill out better with a slip. Even a regular slip works, that is what I have under it. The last photo #7 it is shown without a slip-still displays nicely.
