Newly created reproduction fashion for vintage Cissy doll. This is a repro of Cissy’s 1958 “Librarian” fashion.
Fashion includes the pleated black skirt, blouse and belt. I have made the skirt with black silk taffeta. It has triple box pleats, a 2” hand sewn blind hem and it is about 8” long (end of pleats are relaxed) Closes in back with single snap. The blouse is made with vintage mid-century cotton (fabric width was 36” dating it 1940’s-50’s). It is pink and white stripe, the white stripe is a soft/off white. (Maybe from age? But it’s not yellowed) The reason I mention this is because the collar and cuffs are made with a bright white cotton. As mentioned the blouse has white pointed collar and long sleeves with white split cuffs. ( I construct my blouse a little different in that I line it vs using facings). Front closure with 4 snaps, 2 are accented with vintage buttons. A tomato red silk type rose at top snap. Comes with a black belt. It is made with genuine soft black patent leather. Has a gold tone buckle.
NOTE! The skirt did turn out tight around the waist. Have the blouse in place when snapping skirt closed as it is hard to adjust blouse once skirt is closed.
