Newly made fashion for you vintage Cissy doll. Offered is a repro of Cissy’s 1956/58 satin brocade with attached wrap. The original gowns were in green, red and light blue. This one is made from a pattern of Cissy's Pink Tulle Wrap-same pattern as Brocade Wrap except wrap is attached. This one is made with what I think is a ‘silk kimono’ brocade fabric in gold metallic and cream. The fabric width is 28” and it is marked from Hong Kong. 28” is a typical width for kimono fabric. It could be vintage, probably is from markings but I/m not 100% sure. As mentioned it is lovely rich gold and cream shades.
Following the pattern dress has a sleeveless bodice is lined with off white vintage cotton organdy. Neckline is gathered into sweetheart style. Closes in back closure with 4 square vintage snaps. The attached wrap is gently pleated closes off to the side with single snap. It has a red velvet rose sitting on green velvet leaves as an accent. I did line the skirt with a firm ivory bridal tulle. Skirt is is gently pleated into bodice.
Note-please read- While it displays good without a slip, I find that the skirt of dress lays better with a slip underneath. It is shown with slip in photos 1-5 and without in photos 6-12
