Newly created fashion for your vintage Cissy Doll. This is a reproduction of Cissy’s 1956 Dancing Dress. It is made using a pattern of Cissy’s original dress. Resource books indicate Alexander made these in unknown shades of taffeta. This one is made using a lightweight silk taffeta in white! I don’t think any gowns, other than wedding were made for Cissy in white. This gown in white makes Cissy look like the Princess she is! The gown is originally lined with tulle. I lined the bodice with white swiss cotton organdy-( it gives more stability) The skirt and sashes are lined with a crisp/stiff white tulle/crinoline. Two different size Swarovski rhinestones in 4 prong tiffany settings are on bodice and side sashes. They are pretty close to where original placement was (I think I added a few extras on sashes!). Bouquets of flowers are at waist and shoulder. Closes in back with 4 square snaps, I added some accent with rhinestone buttons. Comes with a ¾ length slip and panties. Slip is made with white acetate taffeta, it has gathered tulle on the inner slip ( if I put tulle on outer slip it would constantly get caught on the dress tulle lining). Matching panties have lace edged legs. Comes with a pretty rhinestone tiara (to resemble a diamond tiara) ! A perfect accessory for the princess she is!
