Newly created dress for vintage Cissy doll. Made with a (new) cotton that has lovely lavender and turquoise shade hydrangeas on a soft white background. This is a soft cotton (as opposed to a crisp cotton)
Dress follows style Cissy’s dress with a square neck bodice and ¾ lace edged split sleeve. Bodice is lined with white swiss cotton organdy, sleeves are edged with french val lace. Closes in back with 4 vintage square snaps that are accented with lavender pearl buttons. A lavender satin waist sash is gathered at bust darts and ties in back. Skirt is a generous 56” around with a 2” hand sewn blind hem. Included is a classic double strand pearl necklace. Made with glass bead pearls and closed with box clasp. (I find the box clasp a bit challenging- I use needle nose pliers to pinch the insertion clasp and slide it out, to me and my stiff finger it is much easier).
To bring out fullness of skirt a full slip is needed. It is shown with a slip in all photos except last #7 -it is shown without a slip. Slip is not included.
