Newly created dress for your vintage Cissy doll, created with white and blue silk taffetas!
Dress bodice is made with using white silk taffeta. It is my design with a round neck style and short sleeves. It’s fully lined with white swiss cotton organdy (including sleeves). It closes in back with 4 square snaps that are accented with pearl buttons. The skirt is made with silk taffeta in a medium iridescent blue shade. The taffeta is lightweight and has a stiff/crisp hand, has that classic silk taffeta “rustle” sound! The skirt is made with measurements of a classic Cissy skirt- it is about 55” around with a 2” hand sewn blind hem, it is about 7-3/4” in length. It has an oversize bow at front waist. It comes with a double strand pearl necklace. Pearls are glass beads. Closes with a magnetic closure. *Note on the blue skirt- it does have an iridescent sheen but not as prominent or “glowing” as the flash makes it appear! Also I seen a few normal darker blue specks on the blue taffeta, looks like they were made during the weaving of the dark blue horizontal warp threads (the vertical weft threads are white)
While the skirt of dress displays okay without a slip like in photo #6, it would need a slip for that flared look. It is shown with a slip under skirt in all photos except # 6-it is shown without slip. Slip is not included.
