Greetings!
Newly made dress for your vintage Cissy doll! Made like Cissy’s 1958 square neck/split sleeve dresses (Camellia, Drapery prints). I used a pretty cotton floral fabric. Cotton is on the soft side and is silky smooth! I am not sure of the flower- camellia, peonies, ranunculus?! Pretty colors of varying pinks to red on an ivory background.
Dress construction has a square neck bodice lined with white swiss cotton organdy. Elbow length split sleeves that are edged with val lace. A large pink satin bow with pink silk type flower accents waist (pink satin used for bow is antique. I have a old wooden spool of it I acquired years ago). It closed in back with 4 square snaps that are accented with pearl buttons. Skirt is a generous 56” around with a 2” hand sewn blind hem.
To bring out fullness of skirt a full slip is needed. It is shown with a slip in all photos except last #9-it is shown without a slip. Slip is not included. For a super generous flare I also add puffed white gift tissue under the slip. (You can use the tissue I pack with- it is safe for the doll and long term storage, as I use a non-acidic food grade white baker’s tissue)
