A newly created fashion for your vintage Cissy doll. This dress is created from a pattern I designed. Back story- I often search and admire mid-century fashions and styles. I came across an elegant black and white mid-century cocktail dress I thought would be great for Cissy. So I went about making a pattern of it for Cissy. The result is this lovely dress with a Holiday twist!! ( A photo of the original human ‘50’s dress that inspired this creation for Cissy is pictured #9). I have made a few of these dresses previously....but with this one I changed the color scheme to gold for Christmas, New Years and any Holiday!
The gold bodice is made with gold sparkling sequins ( gold sequins are sewn on a gold netting base)! The sleeveless bodice is lined with off white vintage swiss cotton organdy. It closes in back with 4 square vintage snaps. It has a flowing skirt made with semi- sheer cream/buttercream shade chiffon. Comes with a detachable cream shade taffeta slip that has a sewn on waistband (vs elastic) and snaps in back. Included is a pair of matching panties. Also comes with a choker/necklace. It has one large round clear rhinestone setting with double pearl strands, it closes in back with a magnetic closure (with my old fingers I find these easier to close in tight spaces like with chokers and bracelets). To keep the chill away from her shoulders it comes with a matching bolero. Bolero is made from a pattern of Cissy’s original bolero. This one is made with gold sequins and it lined with gold acetate satin. (Note- the skirt of dress turned out a tad shorter that I typically make them, the waistband of slip needs to set above waist seam of dress. Also panties are made to sit lower, it reduces bulk at waist area))
