Newly made fashion for your vintage Cissy doll. This is made with a vintage medium weight polished cotton (proabaly an old decorator cotton!) As mentioned it is medium weight with quite a stiff hand. Pretty soft floral print on an ivory background.
Bodice is one of Cissy’s round neck bodices. It is left sleeveless and lined with swiss cotton organdy. It has a matching bow at front waist. Closes in back with4 square snaps. Skirt of dress is about 54” around with a 2” hand sewn blind hem. The coordinating bolero is made from a pattern of Cissy’s original bolero (from Lavender Box Pleat fashion). It is lined with matching fabric.
This fabric is pretty stiff so displays ok without a slip. But to bring out an even fullness of skirt a full slip is needed. It is shown with a slip in all photos except last #8 -it is shown without a slip. Slip is not included. For a super generous flare I also add puffed white gift tissue under the slip. (You can use the tissue I pack with- it is safe for the doll and long term storage, as I use a non-acidic food grade white baker’s tissue)
