Newly created dress for your vintage Cissy doll. Made with vintage and modern silks!
Dress bodice is made with modern white silk. It is my design with round neck style with short sleeves. It’s fully lined with white swiss cotton organdy (including sleeves). It closes in back with 4 square snaps accented with pearl buttons. The skirt is made with vintage hand woven Thai silk (fabric width is 35” dating it 1950’s-60’s). It is in the green family- I’m calling it aqua. It is a full and generous 60” around with a 2” hand sewn blind hem, it is about 7-3/4” in length. It has an oversize bow at front waist. (Hand woven silk has natural slubs throughout). It comes with a 4 strand pearl necklace. Pearls are glass beads. Gold tone box closure. (Note pics 7 and 8- when putting on doll the slide goes on right, I have it positioned how it would go in photo #7. My fingers are stiff and weak so I use needle nose pliers to pinch the slide when I put is on and take off)
While the skirt of dress displays great without a slip like in photo #6, it would need a slip for that flared look. It is shown with a slip under skirt in all photos except # 6-it is shown without slip. Slip is not included.
