Newly created dress for your vintage Cissy doll! Made from a pattern of Cissy’s black velvet Matinee Fashion. As for the fabric I happen to nab a piece of this fabric as a roll end at a huge discount from a high end fabric supplier in New York’s fashion district! Fabric is a medium weight Italian Silver Metallic Lame Brocade with Lavender/Lilac and speckled with darker periwinkle. The fabric is gorgeous, my poor photography skills do not do it justice!
As mentioned made from a pattern of Cissy’s Matinee Fashion, I omitted the attached wrap skirt. In place of beads at neckline and sleeves I used silver metallic braid trim. Skirt and bodice are lined with lavender swiss cotton organdy. It closes in back with 4 vintage square snaps, I accented them with Swarovski rhinestone buttons. It has a re-make of a “diamond” watch fob at waist. (This is the last I have of this fabric)
Note- I strive for a perfect fit, with this the upper neck area turned out a bit baggier that I prefer, still displays lovely!
