Newly made sun dress for vintage Cissy doll. Made with smooth poplin cotton that has a red and white classic Hawaiian tropical print.
The sleeveless bodice has a square neck with thin shoulder straps. It is lined with white swiss cotton organdy. Closes in back with 4 square vintage snaps that are accented with pearl buttons. The skirt is a generous 55” around with a 2” hand sewn blind hem. A matching bow accents front waist. Comes with a double strand necklace! The necklace is made with vintage “Cherry Brand” glass beads. These beads were hand made in Japan in the 50’s. (The beads are about 5-1/2 to 6 mm, a little bigger bead than I normally. Necklace closes with a magnetic closure.
I like to show contrast between having a slip underneath vs no slip. The slip brings out flare and fullness of skirt. It is shown with a slip in all photos except last #5 -it is shown without a slip. Slip is not included. I also sometimes use a piece of white “gift” paper crumpled underneath for a really flared look!
