Lovely original fashion for your Cissy doll. This is Cissy’s 1958 “Sheer Green” fashion. The outfit includes the original dress, slip and panties. It comes with vintage shoes and gloves.
Dress is sheer green nylon with little pink rose print. Square neck is trimmed with green val lace as are sleeves. Slip and panties are made with green taffeta. I received the outfit on a doll, the doll had been stored for decades.
Condition-used vintage.
- Dress does not have any stains, tears or holes. I think I noted one teenie speck I could not photograph under and to side of right breast. Dress color is still quite nice overall. I steamed it but it wants to retain some wrinkling. Will fall out over time with display. It has 4 attached snaps- I do see some loose threads here and there on snaps. Imperfections I do see- the elastic of puffed sleeves is dry and stretched out. I think the waist corsage is missing one flower, the original flowers that are there have some fray. The pink sash has some wrinkles I cannot get out (probably from being tied for 70+ years). I’ve steamed but do want to go hotter for fear of damaging the old fabric. Ends of ribbons have a bit of typical fray. I noted one or two very small and faint age spots on tails of ribbons. It has a nice Cissy clean tag with minimal fray .
-Slip & panties- are free from any major stains, tears or holes. The elastic still retains some spring to it on both. Panties are a bit wrinkled.
-Gloves and shoes- shoes are a knock off (don’t think Madame made these) but they are vintage from the era. Elastic is stretched somewhat, but I can still get them to stay on Cissy’s feet (for now). Gloves are a green shade. I don’t see and holes. Some wear along the top of lace. Pretty sure these gloves are to hold for display, I would not attempt to stretch this old fabric over Cissy’s hands- if you do, do so at your own risk.
