Newly created fashion for your vintage Cissy doll. This dress is a concept and design of mine. It is made with silk shantung in a navy blue shade and white silk taffeta. The silk shantung is vintage and a crisp medium weight fabric. The white silk taffeta is new crisp lightweight fabric.
The dress bodice is made with the white silk taffeta and fully lined with white swiss cotton organdy (including sleeves). It has a round neck with short sleeves. Bodice closes in back with 4 square vintage snaps that are accented with pearl buttons. The skirt of dress is made with the navy blue silk shantung, It has double box pleats. It is about 7-1/2” long, it has a 1” hand sewn blind hem (I shortened the hem for my pleated skirts from the basic 2”). It has a navy bow that accents the front waist The navy silk has more shine in photos than it actually has in person due to camera flash. It has low sheen but is not super shiny.
