Newly made sundress for vintage Cissy doll. Made with smooth poplin cotton with a classic tropical print with shade of blue Plumeria flowers on a white background.
The sleeveless bodice has a square neck with thin shoulder straps. It is lined with light blue swiss cotton organdy. Closes in back with 4 square vintage snaps that are accented with light blue pearl buttons. The skirt is a generous 56” around with a 2” hand sewn blind hem. A matching bow accents front waist. I dug into my stash of Swarovski crystals to create a lovely double strand necklace! These are glass crystal beads in a matte paste blue shade. (Swarovski has discontinued loose beads making them hard to come by nowadays. So I protect my stash!)
To bring out fullness of skirt a full slip is needed. It is shown with a slip in all photos except last #6 -it is shown without a slip. Slip is not included. For a super generous flare I also add puffed white gift tissue under the slip. (You can use the tissue I pack with- it is safe for the doll and long term storage, as I use a non-acidic food grade white baker’s tissue)
