Newly made dress for your vintage Cissy doll. Dress is made with a cotton voile. This fabric is a soft, loosely woven and semi sheer fabric. It is not a crisp fabric but soft and draping. It is clean with great color. It is an older fabric- 70’s-80’s?
For the bodice I used Cissy’s “Dancing Dress” pattern. It has a deep round neckline with puffed sleeves. Bodice is lined with light blue swiss cotton organdy. The puffed sleeves are made with the same organdy. It closed in back with 4 vintage square snaps that are accented with blue pearl buttons. Skirt is about 56” around with a 2” hand sewn blind hem, and about 7-3/4” in length. A blue satin ribbons gathered at bodice darts tie in back (the sash is a bit shorter that I usually prefer).
**Note** As mentioned above the fabric is semi sheer. I have a couple of photos with white paper underneath to show just how sheer it is. Almost like a organdy. See photos #7 & 8 It is shown with slip underneath except photos #6, 7, 8 and 9.
Also as with many full skirted dresses it benefits from a petticoat/slip to bring out fullness. I have shown with a slip underneath in all photos except last #9.
I assume most collectors already have slips, so I don’t add them (or the cost!) However if you do want me to make a simple no frills ivory or white taffeta slip and panties I can. It would be an extra 29.00 and I need an extra day or two to complete.
